Portland Shed Receives Innovation Award

Portland Shed was honored to receive the 2025 Outstanding Innovative Project Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter. We are being recognized for our collaboration with WeShine, building 10 sleeping for their St. Andrew’s Village community, the organization’s newest transitional shelter serving Portland-area adults experiencing homelessness. Thanks to our amazing volunteers who helped on this project and to PeaceHealth for presenting the award to Portland Shed.

Table Talk

Thanks for the shout out from our friends at the Community Warehouse, who recently hosted their “Table Talk” show at a table built by the Portland Shed. At the time of this video, Portland Shed volunteers have built and delivered more than 65 kitchen, coffee and end tables to the Community Warehouse.

The Community Warehouse is a “friendly local furniture bank” that provides donated furniture and household items to neighbors seeking the comfort and dignity of a furnished home while overcoming adversity.
